New fluorinated sufonamides and their preparation, useful in the resolution of racemic chiral amines

Process for the resolution of a chiral amine in a racemic mixture or enriched in one of the stereoisomers by contact of the mixture with a defined fluorinated sulfonatmide reactant. The reactant conforms to the general formula (I) :- - in which R1 asterisk = a chiral group; Rf = 1 - 20C hydrocarbyl optionally comprising at least one halogen, preferably F; E = an electrophilic group(sulfonyl, carbonyl or phosphoryl). - contact enables recovery of one of the stereoisomers, the other being in a form in which one H atom of the amine function is replaced by E. Independent claims are also included for the reactants and their preparation.
