<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain downsizing and low profile of an entire module and maintain the frequency characteristic of a tuning fork type crystal vibration chip with high accuracy so as to realize high reliability and a high aging characteristic. SOLUTION: A package 11 of the real time clock module is roughly formed to be a rectangular box comprising layered ceramics thin plates 16a to 16e where a 1st space 17 and a 2nd space 18 are separated from each other and has a base 14 adjacent to the ceramic thin plate 16a in terms of a plane. A tuning fork type crystal vibration chip 12 and its driving IC chip 13 are respectively and separately mounted on the 1st space 17 and the 2nd space 18 and a common cover 15 joined with an upper end of the base and made of a transparent glass thin plate individually and air-tightly seals them. The 1st space on which the crystal vibration chip is mounted is vacuum-sealed by a cover 33 made of the transparent glass thin plate and the 2nd space in which the IC chip is mounted is resin-sealed by a potting.</p> |
