PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for information mediation which enable a user to efficiently retrieve a really necessary matching. SOLUTION: The system comprises a mediator's Web server 10 having a controller 20 which controls various data processing operations, an enterprise side terminal 70 which is connected to the Web server 10 through a communication network 80, and a job-seeker side terminal 60 which is connected to the Web server 10 through the communication network 80 and the controller 20 of the Web server 10 has an enterprise registration processing part 22 having a function of allowing the enterprise to register job offer information in a job offer information DB storage part 30 through the enterprise side terminal 70 and an enterprise retrieval processing part 25 having a function of retrieving the enterprise the registered job offer information from the job-seeker side terminal 60 and sending the retrieval result to the job-seeker side terminal 60.
