PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for preventing water infiltrating into a sheath of a cable for energy transport or for telecommunication from flowing along the cable and making damages worse. SOLUTION: The flexible tube is filled with matter which gets swollen, when it comes into contact with water. The tube is composed of a material, a part or all of which loses its rigidity to allow the above matter to swell, when it comes into contact with water. The filled tube can be inserted into a cable for energy transport or for telecommunication. |
