PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply which is controlled with stability without degradation in power supply efficiency especially when the output current of the power supply is high. SOLUTION: In the switching power supply using pulse width modulation control, an integrating means 2 is connected from the input side of a switching element 1 to which the output of a latch 8 that is set by signals from a clock 7 is connected. The output of the latch 8 is reset by a signal obtained by comparing an output signal integrated by the integrating means 2 with a power supply output voltage signal, and a pulse width modulation signal is thereby generated.
