The electric machine (1) contains current carrying conductors (2), a motor casing (3) and a motor flange (4) on the casing. The motor flange is coupled to a machine flange (5) with one or more cooling members (6).Preferably the machine flange is capable to absorb heat. The cooling member is typically a heat exchanger, but cooling ribs may also be used. A coolant circuit may be used and may contain the heat exchanger. An Independent claim is included for a thermoplastics processing injection molding machine driven by electric motor(s).
