The apparatus for storing CD boxes, DVDs etc. has a cubic module (2) with an open front side (4) into which the boxes can be inserted. The cube also has a rear side (8), a lower side (10), an upper side (12) and a left (14) and right (16) side. Means are provided on the cube to enable several such modules to be releasably attached to each other. The module may be provided with adjustable dividing walls to form compartments for the CDs etc.
