The invention concerns a device (10) for controlling a flap (20) mixing hot and cold air for a motor vehicle air conditioning apparatus equipped with an externally controlled compressor (12). The invention is characterised in that it comprises: control means (30) mobile in rotation and/or translation along an operating range to vary at least the temperature of the pulsed air; means (36) for mechanically linking the control member (30) to an air-mixing flap (20); an electric member sensing the angular and/or linear position of the control means (32) to adjust the pulsed air temperature on the basis of said position of the control means, the electric sensing member being active over part at least of the length of the operating range of the control member (32).
