Computer tomography method has the following steps: (a) sampling of an object using a cone shaped beam bundle originating from a focus and a matrix type detector array, with the focus moved relative to the object along a spiral path; (b) detector array output data is divided into sub-segments; (c) segment images corresponding to the sub-segments are reconstructed; (d) the segment images are combined to form a partial image relative to a target image plane; (e) the partial images are combined to a form a CT image.
