PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a dielectric breakdown fault indicator inexpensively applicable to a high-voltage underground distribution system, and at the same time, to fully secure reliability of the indicator, with respect to fault indication. SOLUTION: Dielectric breakdown fault indicators 4 and 4 are connected in series with grounding conductors 3 and 3, connected respectively independently to a plurality of power cables 1a and 1a constituting the high-voltage underground distribution system. The indicators 4 and 4 are constituted to make fault indications upon detecting ground-fault currents flow through the grounding conductors 3 and 3. Indicating means, which can be reset in indicating state, are used as the indicating means of the indicators 4 and 4.
