PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for calculating an accurate printing cost efficiently and quickly by calculating the quantity of a coloring material being consumed by a printer based on a digital image and receiving information concerning the calculation results through a network. SOLUTION: The system for calculating the printing cost comprises means for inputting the data of a digital image 6, means for calculating the quantity of a coloring material being consumed by a printer 20 based on the digital image data thus inputted, means for receiving information concerning the consumption of coloring material thus calculated through a network NW, and means for calculating the print cost based on the information thus received. |
