PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a silver halide photographic sensitive material in which even when a developing solution containing reductones less liable to affect the human body is used, good residual color in early use, good dryability in a long-term use and slight adhesion of dirt are ensured. SOLUTION: The processing method for a silver halide photographic sensitive material is characterized in that the silver halide photographic sensitive material having a hydrophilic colloidal layer containing a compound of the formula Rf-(O-Rf')n1 -L1 -Xm1 on at least one side of a support is processed with a developing solution containing reductones and then processed with a fixing solution containing a specified aluminum chelating agent and a water-soluble aluminum salt in such a way that the molar ratio of the aluminum chelating agent to aluminum ions ranges from 0.25 to 0.60 and not containing boric acid or its salt.
