摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layered display device which has a plurality of layered display layers such as liquid crystal layers, has a high opening ratio and is easier to manufacture, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: In the layered liquid crystal display device MD1, three liquid crystal layers Lb, Lg, Lr are layered. Each liquid crystal layer is placed between transparent substrates S and S2. On the substrate S1, transparent pixel electrodes E11 -Emn arranged in a matrix form, and transparent thin film transistors E11 -Emn connected with these pixel electrodes respectively are formed. Moreover, on the substrate S2, a transparent counter electrode Ec facing any of the pixel electrodes E11 -Enm is formed. The display device MD1 is manufactured after manufacturing each of liquid crystal elements LEb, LEg, LEr and the layering them.</p>
