PURPOSE: A system for detecting water leakage and management for waterworks is provided to accurately detect water leakage caused due to the damage of pipe, while reducing costs and labor for repair and maintenance of water works. CONSTITUTION: A system comprises a field system(50) for detecting occurrence of water leakage and water leakage position for water works, and transmitting the result of the detection; a central management system(60) for displaying the result of the detection on a web page; and a manager client(80) for managing water works. The field system includes a water supply pipe(10) having an inlet and an outlet, and one or more wires arranged between the inlet and the outlet; a pulse tester(20) connected to an end of the wire, and which transmits pulse signals to the wire and receives reflected signals; and a terminal(40) for detecting occurrence of water leakage and water leakage position by analyzing received signals, and transmitting the result of the detection.
