PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch capable of preventing an easy fall of a sprag even in the case of transporting the one-way clutch in the assembled condition. SOLUTION: This one-way clutch is provided with a holder 1, a spring 2 and the sprag 3 rockably arranged in a pocket of the holder and a pocket of the spring and energized toward a lock side by a tongue piece part formed in the spring. The maximum width La of an outside cam surface of the sprag in the circumferential direction and the maximum width Lb of an inside cam surface in the circumferential direction are formed larger than a width Lp of the pocket of the holder 1 in the circumferential direction, and a width Lc of the sprag 3 in the tilting direction is formed smaller than the width Lp of the pocket of the holder 1.
