PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unsaturated polyester resin composition having a higher strength, a higher tensile strength in particular, and enhanced water resistance. SOLUTION: The polymerizable unsaturated polyester resin composition comprises a linear polyester (A) bearing (meth)acryloyl groups on both ends and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (B), where the linear polyester (A) comprises (a) an ethylene glycol constituent and other polyol constituents and (b) a terephthalic acid constituent and other dibasic acid constituents and the content of the terephthalic acid constituent is 5-80 mole% of the all acid constituents.
