PURPOSE: A safety holding device used for holding a trunk lid is provided to prevent the trunk lid from being sagged by installing the safety holding device in the trunk lid such that the trunk lid is not closed if external power is not applied thereto. CONSTITUTION: A trunk room is provided at a rear portion of a vehicle. A trunk lid(10) is installed at an upper portion of the trunk room so as to open/close the trunk room. The trunk lid(10) is rotatably hinged to a trunk lid hinge(20) and installed in a vehicle body through a hinge pin(20a). The trunk lid hinge(20) is rotated within a trunk inner panel(30). The trunk lid(10) is connected to the trunk lid hinge(20) through a bolt. In order to prevent the trunk lid(10) from being sagged when the trunk is opened, a holding device is provided. A protrusion(21) is formed at one side of the trunk lid hinge(20), and an elastic holder section(31) is formed in the trunk inner panel(30).
