The probe has a U shaped body with deformable (5) arms and is based on a threadlike element with arms (6,7) linked by an articulation zone (8). The element is contained within a flexible elastomeric sheath (4) which has profiled locating stops (10) at the arm ends and is of increasing thickness along the arms. The sheath supports two electrodes (2,2') on the surface with internal electrical connections.
