LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: An LCD device is provided to improve visual angular characteristics, and to realize satisfactory contrast and operational speed, implementing high contrast at a wide visual angle under an optimal condition. CONSTITUTION: An LCD panel interposes a liquid crystal between the first and second substrates(16,17). Polarizers(11,15) are comprised. Light transmissions of the polarizers(11,15) are controlled by a complex refraction operation of the liquid crystal. The LCD panel has a domain limiting unit for limiting an orientation direction of the liquid crystal when a voltage is applied to the liquid crystal. The domain limiting unit consists of the first plural line-type components and the second line-type components. The first line-type components are extended in the first direction within pixels. The second line-type components are extended in the second direction different from the first direction. The first adjacent line-type components are almost disposed in parallel.
