PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for preventing the malfunction of a product automation system are provided to stop an operation of the product automation system when the malfunction of the product automation system occurs. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing the malfunction of a product automation system includes a chute(10) having a funnel shape. The chute(10) guides products towards a conveyer(12). The conveyer(12) moves products, which have been passed through an inspecting process. A reservoir(20) is provided at an end of the conveyer(12) in order to receive products. A guide plate and a sample box(14) are disposed at the front of the conveyer(12). The guide plate is moved by a cylinder(18). A discharging port is formed at the center of the chute(10). A magnetic field detecting sensor is installed at an inner peripheral portion of the discharging port.
