PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for an internal combustion engine capable of being welding regardless of an outer shape and providing the best result regarding an economic property and the quality of a welding seam. SOLUTION: An area 18 for generating an additional surface is provided on a divided surface 16 of the intake device of the internal combustion engine comprising a welded shell body and an inclination force Q2 generated by inclining the additional surface to a compression force D for welding the shell body. The inclination force Q2 is directed to a direction opposite to an inclination force Q2 generated at an inclined part to the compression force D of the divided surface 16. Thus, since the inclination force generated at the time of manufacturing of the intake device is at least partially balanced in a structure body, a force is not applied to a welding holder not shown or a small force is only applied thereto. THerefore, a welding result of an intake pipe is improved.
