PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform a cooling control with high accuracy to continuous annealing plate and hot-dip coated plate, different in suitable plate temperature at outlet side of a furnace, respectively, in a continuous annealing furnace of a facility for both of the continuous annealing and the hot-dip metal coating. SOLUTION: A cooling zone where a gas-jet system variable-speed blower is arranged is divided into three parts in a progressing direction of the passing plate and a plate-thermometer is set at the outlet side in each control zone and the cooling zone is provided with a control mechanism which controls the variable-speed blower in each control zone based on a preset cooling pattern and the measured value of each plate-thermometer. Further, a heater is disposed in at least a second control zone, and the control mechanism is provided with a heater control function, too, in the cooling zone. When the hot-dip coated plate is cooled, the second control zone is desirable to be a slow-cooling zone or a keeping zone.
