PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquidproofing method exhibiting excellent liquidproofness and lyophilicity at a low cost. SOLUTION: A fluororesin coating is formed, as an ink resistant film 18, on the surface of ink channels (13, 14, 16, 22) in an assembled ink jet head 10 by feeding activated material gas through the ink channels. A lyophilic layer is formed on the surface of the ink resistant film by feeding activated oxygen gas to the ink channels having the ink resistant film 18 formed on the surface thereof.
