PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manually move a hoisting mechanism and to lighten, miniaturize, and simplify a substrate dividing device, and to reduce cost of it, in a mechanism for hoisting an upper blade of the substrate dividing device. SOLUTION: The hoisting mechanism comprises an upper hoisting frame 2 having an upper blade mounting block 4, a lower hoisting frame 8 interlocking with the upper hoisting frame, a cam 20 mounted to the lower hoisting frame 8, and a lever 17 connected to the cam 20 and a casing outer side surface via a connecting bar 21. The lever 17 is moved manually to divide a substrate 22.
