PURPOSE: A system for a commodity price payment is provided to process price of commodities collectively by passing a cart along a bar code reading machine on condition that commodities in the cart. CONSTITUTION: A bar code reading machine(100) is provided for a non-carrying out payment of commodities inserted in a cart(10). Commodity input and output sensing units and the first bar code sensing unit for sensing a bar code of inputted commodity are mounted at the upper end of the cart(10). The first control unit(15) is provided for receiving data from the commodity input and output sensing units and the first bar code sensing unit and processing the data. An entering sensing unit(103) senses an entrance of the cart(10). The second bar code sensing unit(101) senses a bar code attached on each commodity. A sensing termination unit(104) informs a termination of a bar code sensing. The second control unit receives data from an entrance sensing unit(103), the second bar code sensing unit(101), and the sensing termination unit(104), and performs a predetermined process related to a price payment. The second bar code sensing unit(101) is mounted in the bar code reading machine(100) and includes a plurality of light sources(102). A moving plate(105) is mounted at the bottom of the bar code reading machine(100).
