PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously remove paper chips such as fiber and filler, which generate poor images, separating from a cut section at the time of forming an image, and exactly measure the amount of the removed paper chips. SOLUTION: A plurality of recording paper sheets 5 to be processed are pressed for positioning and fixing, excluding the end of a cutting surface 1. While the recording paper sheets 5 and a contact means 4 are being moved relatively to each other, the cut surface of the recording paper sheet 5 is rubbed by the contact means 4, and the paper chips are separated from the whole cut surface of the recording paper sheet 5, thus reducing the generation of troubles resulting from paper chips in forming the image.
