PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a tension on a rear back part and to improve workability when a seat back cover is fitted in the seat back cover of a seat for a vehicle. SOLUTION: A seat back frame 10 and a pad material 15 are covered with the seat back cover 20 with a top board part 21 at the front side center, the rear back part 23 at the back side center and frame parts 22 on both sides of the top board part and edge parts 23a on both sides of the back underside part and edge part 22a of each frame part corresponding this are inserted into an inserting channel 31a of fitting bases 30 and 30A fitted on both sides of the seat back frame to constitute a seat back. A flat plate 41 fitted on the edge part of each frame part is inserted into the inserting channel of the fitting base and the back end edge of the flat plate is hooked on a pawl 34 formed on the end edge 32 on one of the open side and a hook plate 40 fitted on the edge parts on both sides of the back underside part hooks a hooking part 40a formed on the apex end edge on the apex end edge of the flat plate to prevent it from being released from the inserting channel.
