PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed roller driving device for a sewing machine with which a sewn object can be prevented from being made dirty by a lubricating oil, and further, the burning resistance and wearing resistance of a driving part around a vertical rod can be improved. SOLUTION: In the feed roller driving device 54 for the sewing machine with which a feed roller 61 is driven through a vertical rod 48 by an upper rod 14 for vertically reciprocating and driving a needle bar, the vertical rod 48 is arranged inside a frame 43. Thus, a sufficient quantity of lubricating oil can be supplied around the vertical rod 48 by a lubricating oil supply means inside the frame 43, and the lubricating oil supplied to a rotary rod, or the like, inside the frame can be prevented from being dropped/spilt outside the frame 43 along with the vertical rod 48.
