<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal material refining apparatus capable of removing ionic impurities present in a liquid crystal material to enhance the voltage holdability of the liquid crystal material, and a liquid crystal material refining method using the same. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal material refining apparatus has a structure capable of injecting the liquid crystal material in the region between electrodes and further has an adsorbent in the liquid crystal material or on the surfaces of the electrodes. As the adsorbent, for example, a silica gel, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, magnesium silicate and titanium oxide are designated.</p> |
