PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent engaging of a fishline with a line roller in operation for winding the fishline and remove twist of the fishline. SOLUTION: This spinning reel for fishing is equipped with a bail arm lever 33 attached reversibly to a bail-supporting arm of a rotor, a line roller 31 attached between the lever 33 and a yarn slide formed integrally to the bail arm lever and guiding a fishline to a spool and a braking means 36 elastically urged so as to press the fishline 41 guided on the outer peripheral surface of the line roller to the outer peripheral surface of the line roller. In the spinning reel, a fishline-pressing surface of the braking means is formed so that a space between the fishline-pressing surface and the outer periphery of the line roller becomes gradually wider toward the yarn sliding side so as to presses the fishline on the bail arm lever side and the line roller is installed so that the fishline guided by the line roller when the fishline is wound leans to the bail arm lever side by own tension and a fishline transfer-controlling means 4 for controlling transfer of the fishline to the bail arm lever side of the fishline by contact of the fishline is installed.
