FIELD: food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has device for receiving layer of bulk material and permanent magnet located in base of casing equipped with cover made from nonmagnetic material and provided with carrier. Said device is made in the form of bowl. Casing is positioned radially of bowl for rotation relative to bowl vertical axis. Permanent magnet is composed of individual members fixed on separate staggered rods, which are secured in casing base. Casing cover has outer hollow staggered projections for receiving staggered rods. Length of rods arranged in one row exceeds length of rods arranged in other row. Members fixed on adjacent rods have opposite magnetic poles. Apparatus may be used for controlling quality of products such as sand sugar, flour and combined feed under laboratory conditions.
