FIELD: transport. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has two molded-plastic tanks (right- and left-hand ones) of which one (right-hand tank) has inlet and outlet holes to receive branch pipes and partition that divides it into bottom and top chambers and separates inlet hole from outlet one; each tank is secured on bottom by compression and bottoms are joined together through plane-oval all- drawn cooling tubes soldered thereto; stacks of wavy cooling bands are fitted between tubes and cooling V-band is installed between wavy bands of stack; flat surfaces of V-band carry louvers. EFFECT: enhanced heat transfer due to enlarged band-to-tube contact area. 1 dwg
