PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage controlled oscillator, which hardly generates a difference in the characteristics of oscillation output when switching a frequency band, can obtain a stable oscillation state at all the time and can deal with frequency increase. SOLUTION: In the voltage controlled oscillator composed of a resonance circuit part X provided with a resonance circuit composed of a variable capacitance diode 3 to be operated while being induced with a strip line 4 and a capacitor 5, a negative resistance circuit part Y and an amplifier circuit part Z, the anode of the variable capacitance diode 3 is arranged with a second strip line 6 and a switching diode 8 to be supplied with a control signal for switching the resonance frequency band parallel to the second strip line 6.
