PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability of mounting. SOLUTION: When assembled on a female housing 10, a lever 30 is lockable in a folded preliminarily locking position. A butt of a hook portion 39 of a temporary locking tongue 38 against a regulating projection 53 regulates and holds a clockwise turning movement of the lever 30, and a butt of a projection 51 of a preliminary locking tongue 50 formed on a guide groove 34 against a guide projection 14 regulates and holds a counterclockwise turning movement. For a return of the lever 30 to a fitting start position before fitting of the female and a male housing, an operating portion 32 is fingered to turn the lever 30 counterclockwise. In the process, the projection 51 of the preliminary locking tongue 50 butts against the guide projection 14 and overcomes it through flexible deformation to release the lock,,whereupon the lever 30 is turned in the same direction. The surface of the projection 51 butting against the guide projection 14 is a tapered semi-lock structure, which allows relatively small force to release the lock.
