PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for simulating a production in an electronic component mounting unit capable of simulating to surely decide whether a production plan is suitable or not. SOLUTION: The electronic component mounting unit picks up an electronic component by a transfer head from a component supply unit in which a plurality of parts feeders are arranged, and mounts the component on a board. The method for simulating the production comprises the steps of inputting production data, production quantity and production sequence of a plurality of the boards (types a, b and c) to be produced, thereby executing a simulation calculation for obtaining an aging accumulating production quantity N when the mounting unit produces the board by a production simulating means, and graphically displaying a simulation result. Thus, a mounting efficiency when a state of a feeder disposition is changed can be easily compared, and whether the production plan is suitable or not can be surely determined. |
