PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave absorbing material capable of obtaining a high shielding effect by effectively preventing a leakage of even a high-frequency wave like a microwave or a millimeter wave. SOLUTION: The radio wave absorbing material 10 comprises a soft magnetic alloy layer 2 and a semiconductive layer 3 formed on at least one surface of a film or a tape-like support 1. The layer 3 is layer in which a carbon is dispersed in a dielectric material like a rubber or a plastic. The layer 3 absorbs an electromagnetic wave incident on the material 10, and hence can obtain a high radio wave absorbing effect together with a magnetic absorption of the alloy layer 2.
