<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the identity of a displayed image with a recorded picture, without increasing any processing time required to display a photographed picture, when so displaying the photographed image as to cut down its information quantity given, when recording it. SOLUTION: After creating by a color-process circuit 12 RGB 24bpp images, based on the photographed signals sent from a photographing portion 11, the RGB 16bpp data of the RGB 24bpp images present respectively on the MSB sides of respective RGB colors are subjected to DMA transfer to a main memory 4. The residual RGB 8bpp data corresponding to the 8-bit portions, present respectively on the LSB sides of respective RGB colors, are reserved temporarily in an LSB-side memory 13 prepared in a camera module 1. When displaying a preview image in a display 8, the preview display is performed by using only the RGB 16bpp data. In the case of a capture after transferring to the main memory 4 the RGB 8bpp data recorded in the LSB-side memory 13, the RGB 24bpp data are, so reconstructed by joining the RGB 8bpp data to the RGB 16bpp data subjected already to the DMA transferrings as to adopt the RGB 24bpp data as a preserved image.</p> |
