PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device and a process cartridge having improved injection electrification properties and yielding image quality free from an image defect such as image-flowing, etc. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic device provided with: an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photoreceptive layer and a protecting layer on a conductive supporting body; and an electrifying means which is arranged in contact with the electrophotographic photoreceptor and electrifies the electrophotographic photoreceptor when voltage is applied on the electrifying means. The electrifying member for the electrifying means is constituted of an elastic body, and a speed difference is provided between the electrifying member surface and the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and conduction promoting particles are carried on the contact surfaces of the electrifying member and the electrophotographic photoreceptor. The toner used for a developing means is magnetic toner with prescribed material characteristics, and the protecting layer contains at least conductive particulates and curable resin. |
