PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partial ROM which can be reproduced by a drive that reproduces a land/groove recording type optical information recording medium having only a recording and reproduction area. SOLUTION: The partial ROM 1 has groove prepits GP formed in groove tracks G of a reproduction-only area 2 and land prepits LP formed in land tracks L of the reproduction-only area 2 so that the reproduced signals of a recording and reproduction area 3 and the reproduction-only area 2 after recording are equal to each other and then can be detected by the same drive, so that the reproduced signals of the reproduction-only area 2 and recording-only area 3 are detected by the drive as nearly the same reproduced signals and then the partial ROM can be reproduced by the drive which reproduces the land/groove recording type optical information recording medium having only a recording and reproduction area without adding any special function to the drive. |
