PURPOSE: An abrasion resistance coating composition and a coating forming method using the composition are provided, to improve the abrasion resistance of the coating composition useful as a traffic marking composition. CONSTITUTION: The coating composition comprises 0.01-25 wt% of at least one autoxidizable alkoxysilane; and at least one binder polymer. Preferably the binder polymer is an aqueous emulsion polymer. Preferably the autoxidizable alkoxysilane is represented by Si(R1)a(R2)b(OR3)4-a-b, wherein R1 is an organic group containing at least one -CH=CHCH2CH=CH- or -CH=CH-CH=CH-; R2 is an organic group bonded to Si via a carbon atom; R3 is an organic group; a is an integer of 1-3; b is an integer of 0-2; and the sum of a and b is an integer of 1-3. Also R1 is an organic group containing at least one dicyclopentenyl group and is bonded to Si via a carbon atom.
