PURPOSE: A method for monitoring and controlling an operation situation of a common computer through the Internet is provided to facilitate the management and the operation by making a manager receive a use charge from a customer without respective calculations and controlling the operation of each Internet common computer at a remote site while monitoring the operation situation of each Internet common computer on a server computer. CONSTITUTION: A client application program is automatically executed by starting the common computer(S311). A serial number and an IP(Internet Protocol) of the common computer is transmitted to an Internet server computer(S313). A timer program of the common computer is executed. After executing the timer program, a preset time interval is checked(S315) and the operation data and the sales data is periodically transmitted to the Internet server computer through a communication network. If the control command data transmitted from the Internet server computer(S317), a control command is executed(S318) and the result data is irregularly transmitted to the Internet server computer.
