CATALYST FOR POLYMERIZATION OR CO-POLYMERIZATION OF ETHYLENE

PURPOSE: A catalyst for polymerization or co-polymerization of ethylene is provided to improve activity and to obtain the narrow distribution of molecular weights and a high apparent density by comprising solid complex titanium compound into the catalyst. CONSTITUTION: The catalyst is produced by a process comprising steps of (a) contacting and reacting halogenated magnesium compound with alcohol to produce a magnesium solution; (b) reacting a compound having phthalic groups represented by formula 1: C6H4-1-£CO2-R|-a-£CO2-R'|2(wherein R,R' are the same or different each other and hydrocarbons having C1-C20 such as alkyl, isoalkyl, tertiary alkyl, alkenyl or aryl; a is 2, 3 or 4) and an ester compound having at least one hydroxy group, and a silicone compound having alkoxy group represented by formula 2: RnSi(OR')4-n(wherein R,R' are hydrocarbons having C1-C12 and a is an integer of 0 to 3); and (c) adding a mixture of titanium compound and silicone compound into the prepared reactant to recrystallize the solid catalyst.
