PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing slope of walking beam in heating furnace is provided to prevent the slab arranged in the furnace from colliding against the furnace wall by preventing slope of walking beam. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises deviation sensors(X1 to X12) attached to each eccentric gear, and which detects deviation of rotation angle of the corresponding eccentric gear; a signal sensor attached to the central eccentric gear of a column of eccentric gears, and which detects rising and falling signals of the walking beam; an upper limit sensor attached to the other central eccentric gear of the column of eccentric gears, and which detects an upper limit signal of the walking beam; a lower limit sensor attached to the eccentric gear where the upper limit sensor is attached, and which detects a lower limit signal of the walking beam; a deviation error detector(40) for detecting deviation error of the eccentric gear by using the values output from the deviation sensors, signal sensor, upper limit sensor and the lower limit sensor; and a display(50) for displaying the eccentric gear detected by the deviation error detector.
