PURPOSE: A WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) push service method in 3GPP IMT-2000 packet network is provided to enable WAP push service transmitting information to random users in the next generation communication network. CONSTITUTION: A push information generator transmits push information to a push proxy gateway. The push proxy gateway stores the input push information and refers to a user data base for user information. The push proxy gateway transmits a push transmission request message to an external packet network interworking system. The external packet network interworking system confirms whether PDP context is generated, and transmits a push transmission response message including a terminal IP address to the push proxy gateway. The push proxy gateway transmits the push information to the external packet network interworking system. |
