A retainer (1) for mobile phone (2) has a receptacle housing (3) for the phone and a fixture device (4), which is assigned to the receptacle housing in a vehicle. A geometrically mechanical and electric/electronic matching to the specific properties of the mobile phone is carried out in the receptacle housing, in which by means of an electronic circuit a specific matching for the mobile phone to the vehicle containing the functional devices, e.g. microphone, loudspeaker, power supply etc., is carried out. Between the receptacle housing and fixture device is a coupling unit by means of which the receptacle housing with the mobile phone is spatially separated from the fixture device as a communication device.
