PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing inflow of external air into submerged entry nozzle for pouring molten steel is provided to seal the connection part by inflating an air tube using high heat generated from a connection part between the submerged entry nozzle and a lower nozzle. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for preventing inflow of external air into submerged entry nozzle for pouring molten steel of a tundish comprises a catching fixing ring(10) which is rested on a catching projection and an inserting groove formed on the upper part of the submerged entry nozzle; a rubber tube(11) which is adhered onto the upper part of the catching fixing ring(10), and on the outer circumferential surface of which a bellows part(12) is formed; a circular air tube(13) which is inserted into the inner space of the rubber tube(11), on the outer circumferential surface of which an aluminum coating layer(16) is formed, and onto the inner circumferential surface of which an asbestos fiber(17) is adhered; and a shape memory alloy(14) which is bonded to upper part and inner side part of the rubber tube(11), wherein a heat resistant ceramic coating layer(15) is formed on the contact surface where the shape memory alloy(14) is contacted with a tundish lower nozzle.
