A process for producing plastic injection molded components having at least two different materials comprises injecting a first material into the mold; withdrawing a primary slider(7) to free a molding wall section; and pushing a secondary slider(8) to the wall section to form an enclosed mold hollow chamber. A second material is injected into the mold and the border area partially melted. The secondary slider is more concave than the primary slider, and has a surface structure composed of projections. The sliders are controlled by a slat using a hydraulic cylinder. The first material consists of a harder plastic, e.g. polypropylene, and the second material is a softer plastic.
