PURPOSE: An image signal process circuit and a method for the same are provided to prevent the correction signal itself from displaying on the screen. CONSTITUTION: An image signal process circuit includes an error diffusion process circuit(4) provided with an adding circuit(1), an error detection circuit(2) and a filter circuit(3), an input signal level monitoring circuit(5), a memory device(7) for storing a plurality of correction signals(H1,H2,H3), a switching circuit(6) for selecting one among the plurality of correction signals(H1,H2,H3) in response to a predetermined condition and outputting the selected correction signal to the error diffusion process circuit(4) and a display device(8), wherein the adding circuit(1) adds an error diffusion signal in response to the gray scale number difference between the image signal and the output signal and the selected correction signal transmitted from the switching circuit(6) to the image signal inputted to the error diffusion process circuit(4) and for outputting the added result to the display device(8).
