PURPOSE: A rod lens is provided to output incident light through all output surfaces without loss. CONSTITUTION: The rod lens is formed by coating a back mirror on a path change surface(504) of a rod lens(501). In the rod lens, by coating a back mirror on a path change surface(504) of a rod lens(501), it blocks light transmitted according to a total internal reflection condition and total-internal-reflects them to an output surface. A light having a special angle is incident to an incident surface(502) of the rod lens(501) and is reflected from the path change surface(504) and advances to the output surface. At this time, the light is not reflected according to a total internal reflection condition but is reflected from a coated back mirror. All incident lights are reflected from a back mirror of a path change surface and advances it to the output surface(504) in order to reduce a loss of the light.
