PURPOSE: A portable video terminal having a camera protecting device is provided to prevent pollution by an external impurity or prevent that the breakage of a camera is generated by an external impact by protecting the camera using a protecting cover when the camera is not used. CONSTITUTION: A protecting cover(11) is installed for covering a camera(7), and an aperture portion(11a) is formed at a uniform portion of the protecting cover(11). Cover guiding grooves(12) are formed at both sides of internal sides of hinges so that both ends of the protecting cover(11) are inserted and guided to be capable of sliding. An interlocking implement is interlocked so that the protecting cover(11) is simultaneously opened and closed when opening and closing a folder(3). The interlocking implement has a combination groove portion(13) formed at an external circumference of the protecting cover(11) and a combination asperity(14) to be combined with the combination groove portion(13) and be formed at a lower end of the folder(3).
